What does it cost?

Nothing, for everything on the site today: certificate and domain checks, monitoring for up to 3 domains, and the chart builder.

Boring Utils Plus, a planned plan at $7 a month or $70 a year for every tool, adds longer watch lists, Slack and webhook alerts, and hosted chart links. It is in early access: joining the list is free and commits you to nothing.

What does Expiry Watch check?

A site’s TLS certificate and its domain registration: when the certificate expires, who issued it, whether its chain is trusted, and whether it covers the hostname; and, using RDAP, when the domain registration itself expires.

How do the alerts work?

A check every day, and an email 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 day before a certificate or domain expires, plus one if a certificate stops being valid. Add up to 3 domains and confirm your email address; every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

Domain registration alerts need the registry to publish an expiry date over RDAP. Many country-code domains, like .io and .de, don’t, so for those you get certificate alerts only.

What can Chart Link make?

Bar, line, area, pie, donut and scatter charts from pasted CSV or JSON, exported as SVG or PNG to use anywhere.

Hosted chart image links, for places where JavaScript can’t run like email, Slack, PDFs and pull requests, are in early access.

What do you do with my email address?

Only send what you signed up for. We don’t sell or share it, and unsubscribing stops all email. The privacy policy has the details.
